Odediran Kingsley, profesionally known as Base 10 Star General, was born in Lagos State to a Yoruba family from Osogbo, Osun State, Nigeria. The young music general is reputed as an Afrobeat Vocalist/Producer/Songwriter and Sound Engineer, who fell in love with music at the age of 10.

Growing up as a kid, Base10 Star General was made to listen to conscious songs from the likes of Bob Marley, Bobby Brown, Dr Orlando Owo, Peter Tosh, Fela Ransom Kuti, King Sony Ade, Sade Adu, Micheal Jackson and a bit of country music by his parents. The kind of songs he grew up listening to influenced and inspired him when he decided to venture into music. His parents noticed his passion for music. Although his dad kicked against the idea of having a music as a career, he bought him the first musical instrument, a flute, on his 9th birthday.
In the year 2002, Base10 SG teamed up with his step brother to form a group with the stage name "BONE SLASH." The group teamed up with Bigiano and Password on their debut single titled "Word Lords and Family." The track was produced by the legendary producer, Password, who wrote GOBE for Davido and produced the FIFA 2008 World-cup theme song "Born Champion" by General Pype.
In 2006 Bone Slash group broke up and Odediran Kingsley went solo and adopted the stage name Base10 Star General. He debuted his first single titled "INSANE" which featured the ginger master "Terry G" . The song was widely recognised and it played on African radio stations and music video stations.
Base10 Star General became hit the waves in 2007, and has since performed alongside top artistes, including Terry G, 2face, DaGrin, Olu Maintain, Drama, Sheyman, Faze, X project, Freewinds, P Square, Chuddy K, 9ice, Sasha, LKT, Stormyzino, Danny Young, RuggedMan and Cartiair, to mention a few.
His sophomore single title "ODEYCHI" was released in 2009. It was a freestyle, representing his hood Sango/Agbado/Ijaye. The song became a mega hit and a dramatic, entertaining video was shot to complement it.
